Meet the Team at The Dental People
Dr. Naidoo graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2011 - one of South Africa’s most prestigious dental training programmes. After completing her community service in Kimberly in 2012, she joined the Department of Health in Gauteng, where she spent five years providing primary dental care to patients in public health settings.
From 2018, Dr. Naidoo served as Senior Dentist and Head of Clinic at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital in Johannesburg, where she provided primary dental care to women, children, the elderly, the disabled, and other vulnerable groups - and led dental theatre services for paediatric patients. This experience gave her an unmatched depth of clinical expertise and a genuine understanding of what patients need from their dentist.
Her commitment to accessible dental care is not just clinical - it is academic too. Dr. Naidoo completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wits University in 2018, with her research focused on providing affordable, high-quality dental services to underserved communities. She further pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2022, examining occupational health risks faced by dentists in the public sector.

Dr. Naidoo founded The Dental People on the belief that every patient deserves honest, transparent dental care - regardless of their financial situation. Dentistry is often avoided because of cost, and the consequences of neglecting oral health are significant: untreated decay, gum disease, and tooth loss that could all have been prevented with timely, affordable care.
At The Dental People, we set our cash practice rates at 20–40% below standard medical aid tariffs. We recommend only what you need. We explain every procedure in plain language. And we never carry out treatment without your full understanding and consent.
